This card was really easy to make. I had some gloss white paper and I dipped each flower into my Lido and Grape Ink pads. I stamped with Lido and Grape with the background from Swanky Background set and then cut strips. Finished with Stamping the You in Blackberry and Make my life beautiful in black ink. The Ribbon is organdy sugar ribbon.

Under the Big Top

I received my stamps I picked out for 1/2 off when I promoted to Supervisor! Under the Big Top was one of my choices. I just love it! I used the color palate for this month called Urban Wildflowers. I also used the small heart from a set called Wish you were Here. I substituted Ocean Ink for Bermuda. Cardstock is Vanilla.

A Muse Challenge: Valentine's Treats

This weeks challenge is Valentine's Treats. Head on over to the Consultant Blog to see the other creations made for your inspiration.

I used the new stamps Hey cupcake and colored with some copics. Cut out the bottom and icing top. I used the heart from Calendar Fun and a small heart punch. Shell Paper, Bubblegum polka dot paper. Shell and Grapefruit ink. I also used the kissing technique with the heart stamp from On the Wing to kiss it on the larger heart.

I used the NEW Greetings Earthling set stampedin Cherry ink and shadowed it with a Copic and used a Yellow Copic to color the rings. I used the new color Titian to stamp the stars. All on Sugar paper.

This is late getting up because for the last week I've been sick and my kids have been sick and last night I pulled my back out. Ok onto better things.

I must tell you I am super excited this week. Why? Well this weekend is the A*Muse convention in New Orleans and the release of the new 2012 Catalog! It will be available to customers on February 1st. We have gotten a few teases from headquarters and even better the chance to pre-order some of the new stuff to show off before the release. For the Consultant blog challenge I did valentine's cards in a few of the new colors! I have some more stuff arriving this week but I had to go for the colors first because I love the colors!

This weeks A\Muse Challenge was numbers. I really didn't think I had a stamp set with numbers in it but found this one called Personal Stationary in my A|Muse drawer. Black(non A|muse), Cherry, Navy, and Buttercup ink. A long with Onyx stickers and some silver brads. The Sentiment comes from mini holiday messages from the 2011 Holiday Catalog. A|Muse Challenge: Sugar and Spice

This weeks challenge on the A|muse Consultant Blog was Sugar and Spice. I started with a 5x7 craft folded card. Added a strip of paper non A|Muse. Cut out a Gingerbread man using the Gingerbread man die in French Roast felt. Added a little color with some hot pink felt and used some pink, brown and white ribbon I had laying around from making bows for my daughters. I added some bubblegum glitter to the man and some bling to the outside. Cocoa Cardstock a long with Sugar to make the sentiment area. Holiday mini messages Stamp sentiment and Holiday Tag Gingerbread man for the background.

Snowflakes

This weeks challenge on the A|Muse Consultant Challenge Blog was Snowflakes.
I was inspired to use the color combo by this blog post

I used a paint brush for the background and embossed the snowflakes in white and clear embossing powders. The A|muse snowflake die was used on Blackberry cardstock along with pink felt I picked up from Joann's. grey Shimmer paper and eucalyptus paper were used for the sentiment border. and a little bling to the center of the snowflakes. I also used a strip of Heather across the back.

the sentiment is non A\Muse.

I really like this color combo! Shell/Sky/Heather very cool for winter.

I am going to be honest I failed to create anything new this week. I have been working on soap orders all week long and have been exhausted. So I pulled a couple cards I made back in August that I had never posted to my blog.

I made these awesome tags to attach to soap orders for Christmas.
I used the Made it myself stamp set a few dies and A|Muse paper in colors of Heather, Bermuda and Latte.

This really is a simple card I used the snowflake die from A|Muse for the Snowman's arms, circle die #2 from my Big shot embossed the white paper with a embossing folder. Cut the hat and nose and used pearls for the eyes. The tree is an A|Muse die with some mini punch embellishments. The bottom is Slate Cardstock(Amuse) with the Cherry woodgrain paper again Amuse. the bottom I decorated with silver glue and paper tears and added the other part of the snowflake from the die which was cut with Navy cardstock. The Sentiment is a non-Amuse stamp.

Metal Embossing

The challenge for the A|Muse Studio consultant challenge blog was Metal embossing. I had to research the topic a bit before I was able to get started. Most of the tutorials I found used heavy duty foil found in the grocery department and I picked up just the regular cheap version :) so what I did was fold the foil in fourths to get it thicker before running it through the big shot to cut out the stocking. After that I used embossing plate by Sizzix and Basic Grey, if memory serves me correctly I think the line is called Figgy Pudding. Slate, Cherry, and Cherry Woodsgrain, and Shimmer Grey paper from A|Muse. The sentiment is from Mini Holiday Messages from A|muse embossed in white powder. I also used some Washi tape from the A|Muse holiday collection.

When I am not stamping I am soaping. One of my other favorite activities when the kids aren't around :). My company is Stone Street Soaps and this season I've come up with some awesome Christmas scents.

The sweet spicy scent of Apple Cider. This has to be one of my favorites this season.

Cinnamon Roll does it get any better? Seriously this soap is all the sweet buttery goodness without the calories.

Fresh Cut Christmas Tree. One of my favorite traditions we share as a family is getting a real Christmas tree. This soap reminds me of the day after Thanksgiving when we bring the tree into the house and start the decorating. Such an awesome scent.

A Muse Consultant Blog Hop: Holiday!

This was made using my stamps from the A Muse starter kit a long with mini Holiday messages from the Holiday catalog. The Colors are Sky, Buttercup, Navy, Fern and Cherry. I also added some bling with silver glitter and pearls.

Another card using the mini holiday messages stamp set. I used a 1" punch and punched out some designer papers and added glitter around them and hung them with french roast ribbon all on Sky paper.

This card was made with the Chill of Winter set. One of my favorite sets because I LOVE snowmen! I took the heart in the Calendar Cue set and used my white gel pen to write JOY and colored the snowmen with copics and finished it off with a little silver glitter.

and last but not least a card with the Snow Crystal set. I stamped with the largest snowflake around the edges of the card and used the A Muse snowflake die to cut some snowflakes out of Sugar and Navy cardstock and added a little jewel to the center. The sentiment is stamped in memento black ink it is a non A Muse sentiment stamp.

I had a hard time deciding on what to post so I decided to just post them all!

This is Cinnamon roll soap. Yum! Every time I sniff it my tummy growls.

While I was making cards this weekend with the snowflake die I noticed as I ran it through my big shot that the edges resembled leaves. So off I went to make a card. This card is super easy too. The sentiment is from Autumn Beauty and the stamped leaf border are from the Harvest Blessings set. I used Fern and French roast felt and the snowflake die with a Pebble background.

Alright folks confession time. I have never in my life created a paper scrapbook page until this one. I know you are totally shocked right? World Card Making Day! Blog Hop

Welcome Blog Hoppers and readers! This card was inspired by my kids who act like monkey's at times. This set is called The Mighty Jungle and was featured recently in the Amuse monthly Spotlight.

I used some copics to color the monkey and tree. The Papers are Eucalyptus, Buttercup, and Sugar. French Roast flocking for the monkey's tummy and onyx glitter on the tree trunk to give it some sparkle. I cut out the oval tag from the labels die cut set into the sugar paper using the big shot and stamped the sentiment inside with Cherry ink. Totally cute. I really love this stamp set!

I got this idea from a magazine I was browsing. I used the Tini Time stamp set from Amuse Studio. Memento Black ink Buttercup ink, Cranberry Ink. The papers varied as I ran out of my Amuse papers, my new order should be arriving tomorrow(EXCITED!!!!) the Sentiment stamp is from a set I picked up at JoAnn Fabrics.
I have to admit I think it is rather cute.

I must say I don't know why we didn't make a craft room in the house sooner. I love love LOVE having my own space to create whether it be soap or cards or whatever! I received another shipment of A|Muse goodies and spent a few hours just creating.

I love the pattern on my daughters shorts and they were the inspiration behind this card. I used the Swanky Background set stamp a long with Tini Time Stamp set for the diamonds in the middle. Watermelon, Buttercup, and Ocean Ink. The sentiment stamp is from the Friend to Friend stamp set.

This is one of my favorite cards so far. It is from the stamp set Oh La La. It's just so simple and cute. I love the purple heart and sentiment. Purple is my favorite color! I just need to get use to using pigment ink, it is a first for me and it seems to take longer to dry than I am use to and I ALWAYS get ink everywhere!

Fruit, Veggie, What is it really?

Yesterday we finally picked some tomatoes! We wait very patiently for our tomatoes because they are a family favorite. Our tomatoes are doing awesome this year, I've actually been tempted to pick some green ones for fried green 'maters. What can I say it's the southern girl coming out.

The local farm where we get our peaches and blackberries just sent out an email letting us know it was time to pick so I think we will load the kids up and head over this weekend. There is nothing like fresh peaches!

I love jewelry especially earrings and since I pulled my back out this past weekend I decided to get out my beading book and try something new. This IS a new addiction Oh to my husbands dismay(at least he can appreciate that instead of spending money on jewelry I'll be making my own).

Fabric Flower Inspiration

Here is a link to the video that inspired the flowers I made. I just used regular fabric not fabric paper. I also didn't roll it very tightly in the middle so it looks more like a rosette. I'll have more pictures of the ones I have done and other links to videos and different ideas soon!

but forgot to take pictures. Will make sure I do that today or tomorrow. I am also in the process of organizing my craft room so if you have any tips to share please do. I am challenged when it comes to organizing anything and would love to know how to keep kids out of an area you can't shut the door on. The more I practice making flowers to more excited I get about putting them in my shop.
